Maidfirm Low Temperature Thermoplastic Material is a special synthetic polymer polyester (PCL), which is processed by a series of physical and chemical methods.
It is in a stable state when in drying space with room temperature.Temperature at 65ºC-70ºC, the material will soften, can be stretched and shaped on patient directly, and revert to the type of rigidityfeature at normal temperature.

How to do Pre-cuts and Pre-forms Thermoplastic Splint:
Pre-Cut Splints: Flat, pre-cut thermoplastic splint blanks make splinting fabrication easy
Pre-Formed Splints: Pre-molded splints maintain their functional position and can be heated to customize them for your patients

Thermoplatstic splint material Operation:
Heat it in hot water at temperature 65ºC-70 ºC about 1-3 minutes ( different thickness in different heating time) , when it soften, take it out from water and use clean cloth to dry it. Meanwhile material temperature drops and feel it not to hot, then can directly mold on patien. After mold well and hold it in same position until material getting cool and rigidity, take out the molded material to cut well by scissors and smooth the edge to avoid hurt patien. Or using padding strip to wrap the edge. After that, put it back to patien and immoblizate it by hook and loop. In case it need to be adjusted, avaliable partially adjusted by heat gun.

Different thickness comes in different heating time, working time and cooling time.
