Alloy Steel Rail Assembled Frog
A combination frog point rail constructed from forged alloy steel billets consists of a point rail and two fork heel rails, while the fork heel rails and wing rails are fabricated from standard rolled rails; the entire rail assembly is securely joined using spacers and bolts. The composite frog featuring a reinforced alloy steel welded wing rail consists of a central rail and two forked heel rails. The central rail is fabricated from forged alloy steel ingots, while the heel rails are constructed from standard section rails. To enhance the structural integrity of the wing rail at the area where the center rail is weakest, a segment of alloy steel is integrated into the wing rail, resulting in a joint composed of standard and alloy steel rails. The entire rail unit is securely fastened using spacers and bolts. Refer to Figure (b) for on-site installation details.


A composite frog constructed from alloy steel features a central rail composed of a long and a short segment. The extended central rail is fabricated from rolled alloy steel, while the wing rail consists of standard section rail or bainite rail; the entire rail unit is securely fastened using spacers and bolts. The central rail section of the embedded wing rail alloy steel composite frog consists of the central rail and two fork heel rails. If the central rail and wing rail insert are fused into a single unit, the central rail takes on partial roles typically assigned to the wing rail; otherwise, when the central fork and wing rail insert are separate, the wing rail and insert are assembled in tandem. Composite frogs constructed with forged alloy steel point rails, welded reinforced alloy steel wing rails, and standard alloy steel rails feature a dense design and a seamless top surface curvature, yet current inorganic rail surface treatments fall short of optimal design specifications; the embedded wing rail variant uses inserts fixed onto the wing rail for transition, leading to inconsistent surface grading and a less robust frame than the prior three models, though the final profile of the inserted rail top post-processing achieves a more balanced shape.
