2. The shaper's feed system utilizes a cam mechanism, allowing for convenient feed adjustment and tool change.
The shaper's tool switching mechanism includes a safety feature that activates under overload conditions. Should the tool experience excessive force from operator error or outside factors, the tool changer will disengage, protecting the workpiece and maintaining uninterrupted machine function.
A lubricating oil pump transfers oil from the ram to the bed rails, and also between the speed-control gear set and the primary guide ways.
5. The shaper is equipped with a parking brake to facilitate speed changes. The power supply cannot be disconnected during machine startup or shutdown.
