Construction:
HV & LV windings are made using electrolytic copper conductors that is covered using inorganic thermally upgraded insulating material (nomex) that can resist temperature upto 220°C and that has excellent mechanical strength.
Coil casting:
The HV & LV windings of every phase are cast disconnect under vacuum to obtain void free homogeneous casting. Besides, the epoxy casting also has extensive resistance against moisture absorption. Each of the transformers is checked for partial discharge as per IS.
Iron Core:
The limbs are of multi step circular cross section step lap interleaved type to reduce the no load losses.
