INSURANCE AND CLAIMS

We offer insurance for maritime, air, and road transport.
For shipments, several options are available:
- "All risks" insurance for new equipment including "war risk – riots";
- "Franc d'Avaries Particulières" (F.A.P) except... for used equipment. Covers losses/damages due to events like sinking, aircraft fall, container at sea, etc.;
- For road transport, RDT can offer you to subscribe to a "Characterized Accidents" insurance.
In all cases, insurance will only be underwritten by RDT with explicit client confirmation before shipment.
In case of claims
If you have taken insurance with RDT, you will benefit from our legal department assistance, handling all formalities of damage declaration and steps with the insurer.
Whether or not you have taken insurance via our services, we will advise you on procedures to follow in case of a claim.

If you do not insure,
it will be your responsibility to appoint a recognized CESAM expert and obtain compensation from the actual responsible party in case of damage (e.g., airline or shipping company). Direct recourse towards the carrier or Group RDT companies will be refused unless you have insurance coverage "AD VALOREM".
