Short Description:
The plate and frame filter press is a classic solid-liquid separation equipment in the industrial field, mainly used for sludge dewatering, material purification and impurity filtration. In municipal sewage treatment, it can compress excess sludge with a moisture content of 80%-95% into mud cakes with a moisture content of 60%-85%, significantly reducing volume for easy transportation and subsequent disposal. In chemical production, it can separate solid particles from reaction products and purify liquid raw materials or finished products to ensure product purity. In the food industry, it is used for clarifying and filtering fruit juice, syrup, etc., to remove pulp residues and impurities. In the mining field, it is suitable for pulp dewatering to recover useful mineral components. In addition, it is also widely used in pharmaceutical, printing and dyeing fields, solving the problems of incomplete separation and low efficiency of traditional filtration equipment, and providing support for meeting environmental standards and improving production quality.
PRODUCT DETAILS
The plate and frame filter press is mainly composed of four parts: filtration mechanism, pressing mechanism, hydraulic system and control system. The filtration mechanism is the core, consisting of alternately arranged filter plates and filter frames. The surface of the filter plate is provided with drainage grooves, covered with filter cloth on both sides, and a sealed filter chamber is formed after the filter plate and filter frame are attached. The pressing mechanism includes a pressing plate, a thrust plate and a beam, which drives the pressing plate through power to make the filter plate and filter frame fit closely to prevent liquid leakage. The hydraulic system provides pressing power, including a hydraulic pump, oil cylinder and pipeline, and can adjust the pressing pressure (usually 0.8-2.0MPa) according to material characteristics. The control system is centered on PLC, with an operation panel, which can set parameters such as filtration time and pressure, monitor equipment operation in real time, and automatically alarm and shut down when abnormalities such as overpressure and leakage occur to ensure safe and stable operation.
The plate and frame filter press realizes solid-liquid separation based on the principle of "pressure filtration", which is divided into four key stages. The first stage is pressing and sealing: the hydraulic system drives the pressing plate to tightly squeeze the filter plate and filter frame to form a closed filter chamber. The second stage is feeding and filtration: materials (sludge, suspension, etc.) are injected into the filter chamber under the pressure of the feed pump (0.2-0.6MPa). The third stage is pressing and dewatering: when the solid in the filter chamber accumulates to a certain amount, secondary pressing (such as diaphragm pressing) can be started, and high-pressure water or compressed air is injected into the filter plate diaphragm to further squeeze the filter cake and reduce the moisture content to a lower level. The fourth stage is cake discharging and cleaning: after filtration, the pressing mechanism is loosened, the filter plate and filter frame are pulled apart by the plate pulling device, the filter cake falls off automatically, and the next cycle starts after cleaning.
The plate and frame filter press has the core characteristics of high separation efficiency, low filter cake moisture content, strong adaptability and stable operation. In terms of separation efficiency, relying on high-pressure pressing force, the solid particle interception rate reaches more than 95%, with high filtration accuracy, which can meet the demand for high-purity separation. The moisture content of the filter cake is much lower than that of belt-type and stacked screw-type equipment, which can be reduced to below 60% at the lowest, significantly reducing subsequent treatment costs. It has strong adaptability, can handle various materials such as sludge, chemical slurry and food suspension, and can adapt to materials with different viscosities and particle sizes by replacing filter cloth and adjusting pressure. In operation, although it is intermittent operation, it has a simple and reliable structure, long service life of core components (filter plate, hydraulic pump) and low maintenance cost. However, it covers a large area and requires certain manual assistance for cake discharging, so it is more suitable for processing batch materials with high solid content and high requirements for filter cake moisture content.
