Product Description
Brief & Function:
The rear bearing of the generator is located at the non drive end (On the side away from the prime mover or coupling). Generally, cylindrical support bearings are used. It is mainly responsible for the entire weight and centrifugal force of the generator rotor, and determine the radial position of the rotor. It can ensure radial stability during rotor operation.
1. Main function:
1) Ensure that the center positions of the generator rotor and turbine rotor are within the design requirements.
2) Ensure that there is a certain air gap between the rotor and stator coils to avoid friction.
3) Lubrication mechanism: By using oil film lubrication, the frictional resistance between the shaft and the bearing is reduced, thereby improving energy efficiency.
4) Balance the axial thrust generated during the operation of the generator and maintain the accuracy of the rotor position.

Structure and Material:
1) Bearing body: cast iron casting, designed with oil return chamber and oil blocking ring to prevent lubricating oil leakage.
2) Lining tile: The upper and lower halves of the structure are lined with bearing alloy (Babbitt alloy) and an oil film is established through a wedge-shaped gap.
