Working Principle of Titanium Electrode Disinfection:

1,  Electrolysis Process:

**When an electric current passes through an electrolytic cell containing an electrolyte (such as sodium chloride solution), the titanium electrode serves as the anode, participating in the electrolytic reaction.

**At the anode, oxidation occurs, where chloride ions (Cl-) lose electrons to form chlorine gas (Cl2), which can further react with water to produce hypochlorous acid (HClO) and other strong oxidizing agents.
At the cathode, reduction occurs, generating hydroxide ions (OH-) and hydrogen gas (H2).

2,  Generation of Strong Oxidizing Agents:

The chlorine gas or hypochlorous acid generated during electrolysis possess potent bactericidal properties.
These strong oxidizing agents rapidly disrupt the cell walls and membranes of bacteria, viruses, and other microorganisms, causing their internal contents to leak out, thereby achieving disinfection.
