This layer shields the aluminum ring from oxidation, corrosion, friction, and high-temperature degradation while preserving its reflective quality. The resulting hard film strengthens the aluminum’s resistance to nitriding and ensures sustained high reflectivity over time.

The DC boost method demands a more extended period for glow discharge and protective film ionization compared to intermediate-frequency systems, yet the protective layer on the depth component performs more effectively.
