The machine has following features:
1. The bed and column feature a unified structure to improve structural rigidity. The toolpost supports a 90° turn, enabling the operator to mount or remove the shaving cutter from the front face for simpler cutter replacement.
2. Precision-engineered rolling bearings with high rigidity are used in the cutter spindle to ensure excellent stiffness, superior rotational accuracy, and simplified assembly and removal of gear shaving cutters.
3. Radial feed motion is powered by large-diameter, high-precision, high-stiffness, high-preload ball screws. The screw's mounting axis is precisely positioned at the cutter's cutting edge to enhance feeding precision and overall machine rigidity.
4. The circular guideways of the toolpost slide are powered by a servo motor (B-axis), enabling precise radial cutting of tapered gears and accurate taper deviation correction.
5. A domestically created gear finishing control system, protected by exclusive intellectual property, is utilized. By entering the relevant cutter, workpiece, machining settings, and tooth alignment error correction directly into the intuitive and user-friendly interface, the system automatically generates the required machining program in the background, enabling parametric programming.
6. The machine is installed with thermal balance compensator to ensure the dimensional consistence of gear shaving cross-rod distance.
7. The system supports a manipulator (either trussed or articulated), compatible with left and right motorized tailstocks and an auto-load/unload mechanism to enhance automation, boost output efficiency, and reduce operator physical effort.
