We take this opportunity to introduce Saudi ORIX Leasing Company (SOLC), a joint stock lease financing company incorporated in the Kingdom in January 2001. Ministry of Finance/Saudi Arabian Monetary Agency and Foreign Investment Committee have approved the formation of SOLC. SOLC is a Joint Venture between reputable Saudi Institutions and prestigious Foreign Financial Institutions: 1. Trade Development & Investment Group (TDIG), representing prominent Saudi personalities including Shaikh Mohammad Abulkhail, Former Minister of Finance, Dr. Saleh Al Omair, Former Vice Minister of Finance, Shaikh Mutlaq Al-Mutlaq, Shaikh Abdul Aziz Al-Quraishi, Mr. Omran M. Al Omran and Shaikh Ahmed Abdullatif. 2. The Saudi Investment Bank, whose shareholders include National Commercial Bank, Riyadh Bank, GOSI, Chase Manhattan Bank and Industrial Development Bank of Japan. 3. ORIX Group. The Largest independent leasing conglomerate in the world with head office in Tokyo and 700 offices in 21 countries. ORIX Corporation is listed on Tokyo and New York Stock Exchanges and has assets in excess of US $ 50 billion as at 31st March 2000. 4. International Finance Corporation (IFC) is the private sector arm of the World Bank Group. IFC has invested through equity and loans in more than 90 leasing companies in 20 developing countries. SOLC offers lease financing for wide range of movable assets such as plant & machinery, vehicles and equipment. The lease period varies between three to six years depending upon lessee&＃039;s requirement and is flexible. The lease can be structured to suit the specific requirement of a lessee in respect of period, down payment and rental payment plan.
