The J. Oppmann sparkling wine cellar was founded in 1865 by Josef Oppmann. The art of sparkling

wine production has become Josef Oppmann in the Champagne cellars. In a short time, his winery

became one of the top addresses in Germany. Sparkling wine from J. Oppmann receives high awards

at several World exhibitions, for example in Vienna in 1871. At that time, 100,000 bottles were

already sold annually.

Even before the turn of the century, the company was divided into a public limited company.

Quality and tradition have been the key factors in the oldest Bavarian sparkling wine cellars are very

company philosophy of J. Oppmann.

J. Oppmann has always cultivated a close relationship with winegrowers and wineries. The wines are

directly from the winegrower. All wines are tasted on site and personally selected.
