MCP Connector for Claude
Search, source, and sell across Freshdi's global B2B marketplace —
directly from Claude.
Overview
Freshdi is a global B2B marketplace that connects suppliers and
buyers across every industry. The Freshdi connector lets Claude
search the marketplace and take action on Freshdi on your behalf,
without leaving your conversation.
Once connected, Claude can find products and suppliers, discover
buying requests (RFQs), and — as a buyer or supplier — post
requests, send inquiries, and respond with quotations. Every action
Claude performs is carried out as your authenticated Freshdi user,
subject to the same permissions you have when using Freshdi directly.
What you can do
Search & discovery (read-only)
- Search products and suppliers across the marketplace
- Browse product categories
- Discover buying requests (RFQs) posted by importers
- View the full details of a specific RFQ
Actions (write)
- Post a buying request (RFQ) as a buyer
- Send a product inquiry to a supplier
- Respond to an RFQ with a quotation as a supplier
Read-only tools never modify data. Write tools create content on
Freshdi under your account and are clearly annotated as such, so
Claude asks for your confirmation before performing them.
Requirements
- A Freshdi account (free to create at https://freshdi.com).
- Certain actions require your account to have the
corresponding role — for example, sending a quotation requires a
supplier account. If a tool is unavailable for your account type,
Claude will tell you.
Connecting to Claude
- In Claude, open Settings → Connectors.
- Select Freshdi from the directory (or add it as a
custom connector using the server URL).
- You are redirected to Freshdi to sign in and authorize
access.
- Review the permissions and approve. You are returned to
Claude with the connector enabled.
You can disconnect at any time from Settings → Connectors,
which revokes Claude's access to your Freshdi account.
Authentication & permissions
The connector uses OAuth 2.1 with PKCE. Claude never sees
or stores your Freshdi password. Authorization happens on Freshdi's
own sign-in page, and Freshdi issues a scoped access token to Claude.
- Access is granted per user and reflects that user's existing
permissions on Freshdi.
- Write actions are performed under your identity and appear in
your Freshdi account history like any other action you take.
- You can revoke access at any time — either by disconnecting
in Claude, or from your Freshdi account security settings.
Revocation takes effect immediately.
Data handling
- What is accessed: marketplace data you query
(products, suppliers, categories, RFQs) and the content you create
through the connector (RFQs, inquiries, quotations).
- What is created: write actions create records on
Freshdi tied to your account, exactly as if you had created them in
the Freshdi web app.
- Storage & retention: the connector does not create
a separate store of your data outside Freshdi. Data you create is
retained in your Freshdi account per Freshdi's standard
data-retention practices.
- Third-party sharing: the connector does not sell or
share your data with third parties. Content is exchanged only
between your Claude session, Freshdi, and — where you explicitly
send an inquiry or quotation — the counterparty you choose to
contact.

Security
- All traffic is served over HTTPS.
- Authentication uses OAuth 2.1 / PKCE; no credentials are
stored by Claude.
- The server validates request origin and enforces per-user
authorization on every tool call.
- Security issues can be reported to contact@freshdi.com
and are addressed promptly.
