o Radio-Active Level: Must not exceed 95 Bq/kg, as per Bangladesh Atomic Energy Commission standards. A radiation certificate must be provided with shipping documents.
o Purity & Safety: The powder must be fit for human consumption and free from melamine, poisonous bacteria, yeast, moulds, and all other chemical/biological impurities. A manufacturer's certificate is required.
o Usage Directions: The manufacturer must provide a certificate with directions for reconstitution and the equivalent litre of milk per powder.
o Analytical Report: A chemical analytical report (including tests for melamine and other impurities) from the manufacturer must be provided with shipping documents.
o Appearance: Must be entirely free from lumps.
o Freshness: The powder must not be more than 90 days old from the date of manufacture at the time of shipment.
o Shipment: Trans-shipment is NOT allowed. Goods must be shipped directly from the country of origin.
2. Pre-Shipment Inspection:
o If order value > 1 Crore Taka: Inspection will be carried out by a team of two officers from the Bangladesh Army. The Army covers travel & accommodation, while the supplier covers all other inspection-related costs.
o If order value < 1 Crore Taka: Inspection must be done by an internationally reputed agency (e.g., SGS), with all costs borne by the supplier.
3. Acceptance Authority: The Consignee (DDRVCF) is the final authority for the acceptance or rejection of the goods.
