COOPERATIVA AGRICOLA DO TAVORA, C

Cooperativa Agrícola do Távora, C.R.L. is located in the demarcated region of Távora-Varosa, between the Douro and Dão regions. The unique conditions, including granite soils, high altitudes, and a temperate continental climate, make it a prime location for apple and wine production. The cooperative evolved from Adega in 1954 and was established as Cooperativa Agrícola do Távora in 1972. By 1975, it integrated into the assets of the Moimenta da Beira and Sernancelhe Farmers' Guild. The cooperative consists of approximately 940 members who deliver grapes. It produces around 5 million liters of wine annually and sells to both national and international markets. Key products include the Terras do Demo brand. They are known for producing apples, especially the Bravo de Esmolfe variety, and white wines with natural acidity and intense aromas.
