Freshdi Market Insight
Make smarter Bean sourcing decisions with real market data
Indonesia (23.5%) leads the 847 Bean suppliers, with Vietnam (9.6%) and Ethiopia (6.4%) following, across 83 countries, so sourcing options are broad but concentrated in a few key regions. The typical range is USD 438 - 1,000 per metric ton FOB, centered at a USD 850 median, meaning buyers should expect variation and compare offers carefully by origin and quality. Buyers request CIF more often than suppliers offer it — a 37.6 percentage point gap — so a CIF price must be explicitly asked for in most cases.

How stable is this supply base?
Three separate questions, answered in order: is the product fresh, is the market busy, and can the sellers be trusted.
Is there much new product?
181 new Bean listings came in over the last 30 days, more than the 110 the month before. The catalog is growing faster than a month ago, so the offers available today include newer prices or pack sizes not seen before. Compare the listing date with the price and pack size when evaluating offers.
Is the market busy?
10 of the 847 suppliers joined in the last 12 months, mostly long-standing suppliers. The pool is dominated by sellers with a long history of listings, which gives buyers a consistent base to work from. The small number of new entries means most of the shortlist will come from familiar names. Review each supplier's listing history before reaching out.

What are the selling conditions, and where do the two sides disagree?

Bean listings on Freshdi have a median price of USD 850 per metric ton, FOB, based on 235 current listings. The price range spans from USD 438 to USD 1,000, indicating a significant spread that reflects differences in quality, origin, and variety, so buyers must evaluate each listing individually rather than relying on a single average figure.
The typical minimum order quantity for Bean is 20 MT, with listings ranging from 10 to 26 MT. This range allows both large-scale and mid-sized buyers to find viable options, though those with smaller needs should verify availability as lower volumes are less common in current supplier offerings.
FOB is the most commonly used trade term for Bean, appearing in 52.3% of supplier listings on Freshdi. Buyers should confirm this term with each supplier, as demand for FOB is not fully matched by supply, and other terms like CIF are underrepresented despite buyer interest.
T/T is the most frequently used payment term for Bean suppliers, selected by 41.2% of them. However, a notable gap exists between buyer demand and supplier supply, especially for L/C and D/P, which are less commonly offered, so buyers should negotiate terms early to avoid delays or rejection.

Payment terms also show gaps, especially for L/C and D/P, where demand exceeds supply by 13.7 and 8 points respectively, creating friction in negotiations.
81.5% of the 847 Bean suppliers on Freshdi are verified, totaling 690 verified accounts. Additionally, 231 suppliers list a certificate, with HACCP being the most common at 21 suppliers, providing buyers with strong signals of compliance and quality control before initiating contact.

Methodology
How the numbers on this page are produced, and what they do not cover.
Every figure comes from Bean listings, supplier quotes and buyer requests posted on Freshdi in the 365 days to 3 October 2026 - 2,659 active listings, 170 buyer requests, 354 source documents, and 2,224 supply observations from the last 90 days. External export benchmarks are cited separately and never mixed into Freshdi figures.
Price and MOQ ranges are the interquartile range - the middle half of quotes, a quarter below and a quarter above - with the median reported alongside. A Bean type is priced only once it holds at least 5% of supply price quotes and 3 priced listings with a real range; below that it is not listed. Buyer prices are compared only once there are at least 5 of them.
All prices are FOB, in USD per metric ton; quotes on other Incoterms are converted to a FOB equivalent. Freshdi does not hold a CIF price series for Bean, so no landed-cost comparison is possible from this data.
Demand-versus-supply differences in trade and payment term shares are stated in percentage points, and origin rows add buyer requests per listing. Each figure carries its market scope - global - beside the number rather than in a footnote.
Product freshness counts listings created or updated. Supplier activity counts sellers by their last update. The two are different measurements and will not agree.
Freshdi reprocesses market data every hour, with one snapshot a day for trends. This page's figures, certification coverage included, refresh every 7 days on a rolling 365-day window.
