33 suppliers are actively offering Malt on the platform, with only 2 updating their listings in the last 30 days — just 6% of the total. This suggests a stable but slow-moving supply base, where suppliers are not frequently refreshing their offerings. Buyers should expect to engage directly with each supplier, as the lack of recent updates means product details or pricing may be outdated or static. 120 active listings mean there’s a broad range of malt types, grades, and packaging options currently available. While not a rapidly rotating catalog, the volume still gives buyers a solid starting point to find a match without needing to start from scratch or request custom quotes. Malt is sourced from 19 different countries, with Germany making up 18.2% of the supplier base. This wide geographic spread offers buyers flexibility in terms of origin, quality profiles, and potential compliance with regional standards — a key advantage when seeking specific malt characteristics or regulatory alignment.

Three separate questions, answered in order: is the product fresh, is the market busy, and can the sellers be trusted.
Is there much new product?
Is the market busy?
1 of the 33 suppliers joined in the last 12 months, so the pool is mostly made up of long-standing sellers. Buyers here see a consistent group of established suppliers, which means each one has a longer listing history to review. The small number of new entries limits the variety of recent offers. Review each supplier's listing history before reaching out.

Methodology
How the numbers on this page are produced, and what they do not cover.
Every figure comes from Malt listings, supplier quotes and buyer requests posted on Freshdi in the 365 days to 26 October 2026 - 120 active listings, 3 buyer requests, 17 source documents, and 102 supply observations from the same 365-day window. External export benchmarks are cited separately and never mixed into Freshdi figures.
Price and MOQ ranges are the interquartile range - the middle half of quotes, a quarter below and a quarter above - with the median reported alongside. A Malt type is priced only once it holds at least 5% of supply price quotes and 3 priced listings with a real range; below that it is not listed. Buyer prices are compared only once there are at least 5 of them.
All prices are FOB, in USD per metric ton; quotes on other Incoterms are converted to a FOB equivalent. Freshdi does not hold a CIF price series for Malt, so no landed-cost comparison is possible from this data.
Product freshness counts listings created or updated. Supplier activity counts sellers by their last update. The two are different measurements and will not agree.
Freshdi reprocesses market data every hour, with one snapshot a day for trends. This page's figures, certification coverage included, refresh every 14 days on a rolling 365-day window.
