Kenya Green Arabica Coffee Beans - AA & AB Grades - Bulk Wholesale & Export
Direct from Kenya highlands, our specialty grade washed Arabica beans are sourced from Central, Mt. Kenya & West Rift. Ideal for specialty roasters, importers, and wholesalers seeking consistent, traceable quality.
We supply Kenya AA (Screen 17/18) - the largest bean with complex cup, and Kenya AB (Screen 15/16) - balanced and perfect for espresso blends. Both are available as fresh current crop.
Arabica coffee beans are characterized by their unique flavor profile, which is often described as sweet with hints of chocolate, caramel, and nuts, with a slight acidity and a touch of bitterness. They also tend to have a winey tone due to their higher acidity compared to Robusta beans. Arabica beans have a characteristic shape with an uneven, S-shaped groove down the center when roasted.
Specifications of Arabica Coffee beans:
Flavor Profile: Sweet, with notes of chocolate, caramel, and nuts, often with fruity or berry hints.
Acidity: Higher acidity than Robusta beans, contributing to a winey tone.
Bean Shape: When roasted, the bean develops an uneven, S-shaped groove down its center.
Size and Appearance: Green coffee beans should have a characteristic appearance and color, be free from foreign odor, and practically free from extraneous and foreign matter. They should also be free from infestation due to insects, fungi, and rodents.
Grades and Grading:
Arabica beans are often graded based on size and shape, with different grades having specific screen sizes.
For example, Arabica Plantation A beans may have a screen size of 17, while Plantation AB/A beans might have a screen size of 15.
Grades also include Plantation C (screen size 14) and Plantation PB (mixed screen size).
