Black Pepper oil is extracted from the seeds of Piper nigrum L. This is a flowering plant from family Piperaceae. It is cultivated for its fruit known as a peppercorn which is usually used as an important spice. The oil is obtained through the processes of steam distillation and supercritical fluid extraction.
Identification:
Aadrea Black Pepper extract is pale green in colour, with a spicy pungent odour. The active component(s) in a typical oil sample are β-caryophyllene (28 – 40%), L-Limonene (7-13%). Other are 3-Carene (25-30%), β-Pinene, Sabinene, α-Pinene. Additionally, piperine is the naturally occurring and principal bioactive alkaloid constituent of black pepper. This is because of its potential therapeutic properties, including cerebral brain functioning and increased nutrient absorption.

Indications (benefits from use of product):
Black Pepper extract has good antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory/analgetic, antioxidant, anti-cancer, hepatoprotective, insecticidal and antipyretic properties, and others.

Black pepper is a great spice which is used in various traditional medical preparations, as well as in cosmetics. The extract helps to inhibit the development of conditions such as Parkinson’s disease. The oil is viable for use in aromatherapy, soothing and warming blends. It is great for body rubs and massage blends, food condiment, and immune boosters, among its very many uses.
Aromatherapy: Black Pepper extract helps to relieve a bad mood or awaken your senses and improve your breathing. Diffuse using 4-5 drops per 100 mL of water for periods not exceeding 45 minutes at a time. You can apply the oil along your spine, bottoms of the feet, and pulse points for a warm, awakening sensation. Blend 2 drops of black pepper, 3 drops of lavender, and 2 drops of lemon in 100ml water. This is beneficial to recover from nervousness and unease.
Condiment: Use limited portions (1-3 drops) of the extract to flavour cuisines in soups and salads, curries, poultry, and others. A single drop is in most cases sufficient for a food-meal preparation, or a toothpick dip for the case of beverages per cup. All internal benefits outlined above are achieved when the oil is used as a flavorant. In addition, 1–2 drops of black pepper oil in a smoothie, soup or savoury dish can help ease the discomfort of constipation, diarrhoea and gas.
Detoxification: Black pepper extract is useful for detoxifying your body due to its great antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. To help detoxify the body, take 1–2 drops internally or apply 2–3 drops topically to the bottoms of the feet, at most once daily for a few days.
Perfumery: Black pepper extract is a middle note and can help to bring together fleeting top notes and heavy base notes. Black Pepper essential oil blends well with most other essential oils including other spice oils, citrus and floral oils.
Blemish control: Place some 1-2 drops of oil in 5ml of jojoba, argan or grapeseed carrier oil; this simple facial rub is great for preventing blemishes (marks create don skin by conditions including acne, papules, and changes in pigmentation), as well as revitalising the skin. Do a patch test first to ensure the oil is suitable for your skin.
Massage and Spa therapy: Black Pepper extract is beneficial for relieving sore and aching muscles, or warm up cold feet. Dilute 4-5 drops in 15ml of a good carrier oil (jojoba, grapeseed).
