Don Julio Tequila Reposado is a super fine representative of the big proud brand. A little atypically, it has been aged for 8 months in smaller American white oak barrels (the standard is 2 months). You have no doubt about the longer barrel aging when you meet it: The color is golden amber, and in the nose there are soft citrus notes and several layers of spices with fine touches of ripe stone fruit. In the mouth very rounded, and a fantastic soft and elegant taste with elements of dark chocolate, vanilla and cinnamon. In the aftertaste a lovely warmth with dried fruits, nuts and an almost Christmas-like atmosphere.
