High quality Cocoa beans producing beans with the strongest flavour. Raw Sun-dried Cocoa Beans sourced directly from the rich and fertile lands of Cameroon. In Cameroon, 53% of the total cocoa production comes from the forest zone (center, south, and east).
The Mangrove area (littoral and South-West) has remained an elite cocoa production area for over two decades until 2019. Now, it is the second largest cocoa producing region, contributing 42% of the national cocoa output. More than 90% of cocoa from Cameroon is of Trinitario variety, a hybrid of Forastero and Criollo types.
In each cocoa farm, some trees still belong to the Forastero and Criollo varieties. Segregation is rarely practiced unless implemented at the point of harvesting. With four agro-ecological zones suited to cocoa farming—the forest, coastal, savannah, and high hills—the country provides ideal conditions for outstanding cocoa bean development.
The beans produced have strong flavour and are more reddish, distinguished by their high cocoa butter content. They can be processed into a highly prized red powder, valued as both a coloring and flavouring agent in dairy and baking industries.
