Fresh Tongan Taro Roots

We supply fresh premium-quality taro roots from Tonga, available in purple and white varieties. Tongan taro is valued for its firm texture, natural flavour and versatility in traditional dishes, modern food products and industrial processing applications.

The taro is carefully harvested at maturity and selected to reduce damaged, soft or poor-quality roots. It is suitable for boiling, steaming, roasting, frying and baking. The product can also be processed into taro chips, taro flour, frozen taro, desserts, snacks, bakery ingredients and beverage products.

Our offer is suitable for food importers, ethnic grocery distributors, supermarkets, restaurants, catering companies, food manufacturers and wholesale buyers. The minimum order quantity is 1,000 kg, allowing new buyers to begin with a manageable commercial order before increasing future volumes.

Standard packaging is provided in 20 kg bags, while alternative pack sizes can be prepared according to the buyer’s distribution and retail requirements. We can discuss grading by size, variety selection, packaging materials, labelling and loading arrangements before shipment.

The current available stock across cassava, taro and yam is approximately one 20ft container every 2-3 months with more supply expected in the future. Buyers interested in recurring orders are encouraged to share their monthly demand so that harvesting and packing schedules can be planned in advance.
