Porsche G50 5-Speed Transaxle & Manual Conversion Components

This five-speed manual transaxle was produced by Getrag and removed from a 1990 Porsche 911 Carrera that sustained body damage. Alongside removing the open-differential gearbox, various ancillary components required to convert a Tiptronic car to a manual gearbox were also taken from the donor car. A dual-mass flywheel, a clutch, half-shafts, shifter components, pedals, and hardware are included in the collection. These parts are now offered at no reserve in El Cajon, California.

Porsche 911 Carrera models came equipped with the Getrag G50 five-speed manual transaxle from 1987 to 1989, and the G50/03, like this example, was equipped in 1990-1994 models. The gearbox features an aluminum case with a bell housing, an open differential, five forward gears on a standard “H” shift pattern, a BorgWarner single-cone synchromesh, and a clutch-release lever designed to be hydraulically actuated. The seller reports 3k miles before the donor 964’s door and quarter panel were damaged, the CV axles were rebuilt, and the clutch, flywheel, clutch slave cylinder, and gearbox mount were replaced. An invoice with the highlighted work is viewable in the gallery.

The pedals are accompanied by a floorboard and black carpet section.

A black leather boot and knob are installed on the shifter mechanism.
