Red US Vanilla Pods Single Origin Madagascar Bourbon Extraction-Grade Vanilla Beans

Vanilla planifolia sourced from our cooperative of smallholder farms in Madagascar's SAVA region, the heartland of Bourbon vanilla cultivation. Produced using the same curing method as gourmet black pods, Red US has a lower moisture content and higher vanillin concentration, and is ideal for extract producers, flavor houses, and manufacturers who prioritize potency and yield over visual presentation. The "US" designation describes red vanilla that meets US market preferences, and does not describe any country-based restriction. The main difference between Red US and Red EU is moisture content; EU is higher at 24—28% while the US market prefers a slightly drier bean, around 16—24%. Ethically grown, single origin, and fully traceable from facility to fokontany (village). Phytosanitary certificate issued on per-shipment basis.

Handling & Storage:

Store in an airtight container away from light and heat. Lasts up to 24 months properly stored, retains peak moisture and aroma for 12–18 months. Beans may develop natural vanillin frost (fine white crystals) over time, a mark of high vanillin concentration.
