Kingman Fluid presents our comprehensive range of stainless steel sanitary manhole covers – essential access and inspection devices for tanks, vessels, and containers in hygienic processing industries. Also known as sanitary manways, tank manholes, or manhole covers, our products provide safe, sealed access for maintenance, cleaning, and inspection while maintaining the integrity of the sanitary system. Available in multiple configurations including round, oval, square, atmospheric, pressure-rated, and with or without sight glass, our manhole covers are engineered to meet the strict hygiene requirements of food, beverage, pharmaceutical, biotech, and cosmetic applications.

Material selection

• Body & Frame: Premium SUS304 or SUS316L stainless steel with mirror polished (Ra≤0.8μm) or matte finish – excellent corrosion resistance, high-temperature tolerance, smooth non-porous surface that prevents bacterial growth and material residue, fully compliant with FDA and GMP sanitary standards.
• Sealing Gaskets: Food-grade EPDM, silicone (VMQ), or FPM (Viton) – excellent compatibility, superior sealing performance, leak-proof, FDA 177.2600 compliant.
• Closure Hardware: Stainless steel handwheels, swing bolts, or eye nuts for secure, easy operation.

Six Configurations for Diverse Applications

• Atmospheric (Non-Pressure) Type: Designed for zero-pressure applications, typically installed on tank tops for worker access during construction, cleaning, and inspection. Features a quick-opening design with a sealing ring to preserve tank contents and prevent evaporation. Ideal for storage tanks, atmospheric vessels, and general-purpose containers.
• Pressure Type: Engineered for pressurised vessels and tanks, with multiple handwheels or swing bolts providing secure, leak-tight closure. Standard pressure rating up to 5 bar (0.5 MPa); higher pressures available upon request. Suitable for pressure tanks, reactors, and vessels in pharmaceutical and chemical processing.
• Round Type: The most common configuration, available in both atmospheric and pressure versions. Sizes range from DN150 to DN600 (150mm to 600mm diameter). Height options: 100mm, 120mm, 150mm. Suitable for most tank and vessel applications.
• Oval Type: Space-saving design ideal for tank sides and curved surfaces. Available in atmospheric and pressure versions. Standard pressure-rated sizes: 435×335mm, 535×435mm, 635×525mm (up to 5 bar). Perfect for cylindrical tanks where round openings may not be optimal.
• Square (Rectangular) Type: Designed for tank sides, particularly useful for slag discharge and easy access. Available in single-lock and double-lock handwheel configurations. Standard sizes: 250×150mm, 280×200mm, 330×230mm, 430×330mm, 530×410mm. Pressure rating up to 1 bar standard, custom options available. Ideal for applications requiring larger, rectangular access openings.
• Sight Glass (Viewing) Type: Features a full-view tempered glass window integrated into the manhole cover, allowing operators to observe internal tank conditions without opening the cover. Available in atmospheric and pressure-rated versions. Glass joints are pressure-free design. Perfect for processes requiring visual monitoring of fluid levels, mixing, or CIP cleaning.
