Stone Flower – Kalpasi / Dagad Phool

Our Export-Grade Stone Flower, also known as Kalpasi or Dagad Phool, is a naturally harvested edible lichen valued for its distinctive earthy, smoky, and mushroom-like aroma. It is carefully collected, dried, and sorted to preserve its unique fragrance, light texture, and natural appearance.

The product is supplied in whole dried fronds and is cleaned to remove excess dust, wood particles, stones, and other foreign matter. With a purity level of approximately 98–99% and controlled moisture content, it is suitable for international food processing, spice blending, wholesale distribution, and retail repacking.

Stone Flower is widely used in Indian spice blends such as Goda Masala, Kala Masala, Chettinad Masala, Biryani Masala, and Garam Masala. Although its aroma is subtle when dry, it becomes rich and complex when roasted or bloomed in oil or ghee. This makes it ideal for adding depth and smoky undertones to biryani, meat curries, gravies, stews, and vegetarian dishes.

The product can be packed in durable PP woven bags, jute bags, or corrugated export cartons designed to protect the delicate fronds from crushing. Standard pack sizes include 10 kg, 25 kg, and 50 kg, while customized packaging can be arranged for importers, spice manufacturers, distributors, and private-label buyers.
