Product Description
Clean: Free of any visible foreign matter, soil, and plant debris.
Fresh Appearance: Berries fresh in appearance and free of abnormal external moisture or signs of withering.
Free from Foreign Odour/Taste: The fruit does not have any foreign smells or tastes.
Bloom: Blueberries are covered with their natural bloom, according to the varietal characteristics.
Uniformity: Fruit within the same container must be uniform with regard to class, quality, colour, ripeness, shape, size, and cultivar.
Size: Common market sizes range from 12mm to 22mm. Newer varieties often average 19–20mm (75% above 18mm).
Firmness: Quality is a key focus, with high importance placed on firmness to ensure a good shelf life and ability to withstand transport. A firmness of around 86 Durofel units has been noted in newer varieties.
