Urea fertilizers are widely used in agriculture. It is the most common form of nitrogen fertilizer used around the world. They are considered as economic nitrogen source. Produced from ammonia and carbon dioxide, it has the highest nitrogen content of any solid nitrogen fertilizer. As a granular product, urea can be applied directly to the soil using conventional spreading equipment. In addition to soil applications, urea fertilizers can be also used in fertigation or as a foliar application.
