Afrikids UK is a fundraising charity registered in 2002 that supports AfriKids Ghana, a grassroots child rights non-governmental organization. They work with families in Northern Ghana to improve life for their most vulnerable and disadvantaged children. AfriKids Ghana was founded in 1997. Their philosophy involves listening to what a community knows it needs and empowering them to make the necessary changes themselves to ensure absolute sustainability. AfriKids works to protect at-risk children across northern Ghana and give all children the opportunity for a secure and happy future, whatever their start in life. AfriKids programs are designed and delivered entirely by local people. AfriKids UK helps raise funds for this work and is independently registered with the Charity Commission for England and Wales.
