Kafain Consulting supplies bulk Yellow Corn, also traded as Yellow Maize, for animal feed compounding and human consumption. Our corn is sourced from established growing regions in Brazil and South Africa, cleaned and graded to export standard, and offered in both containerised and bulk vessel quantities. Consignments are dried to a stable moisture level before loading so that quality is preserved throughout the voyage and during storage at the destination.

Yellow corn is the single largest traded feed grain in the world and forms the energy base of poultry, swine, cattle, aquaculture and pet food rations. The same product, when meeting human consumption parameters, is milled into maize meal, grits, flour and starch, and is used by breakfast cereal and snack manufacturers. We supply feed mills, integrators, flour and starch plants, and trading houses, and we can hold committed monthly tonnage under a long term contract or ship a single trial container for evaluation.

QUALITY ASSURANCE

Every lot is sampled and analysed for moisture, foreign matter, broken and damaged kernels, protein and mycotoxins before shipment. Independent inspection by SGS, Intertek or an agency nominated by the buyer is arranged at the port of loading, and quality, weight and fumigation certificates accompany the shipping documents. Cargo is fumigated in accordance with destination country requirements and a phytosanitary certificate is issued by the national plant protection organisation. Pre shipment samples are available for buyer approval before contract fixing.

PACKING AND DELIVERY

Corn is supplied in new 50kg woven polypropylene bags, in 1000kg jumbo bags, or loaded in bulk for vessel parcels. Containerised shipments can be bagged or loaded loose with liner bags according to buyer preference. Loading is effected at Santos in Brazil or Cape Town in South Africa, whichever gives the better freight and delivery window for your discharge port. Shipment is normally within 14 to 25 days of a workable letter of credit or cleared telegraphic transfer, and the full document set including bill of lading, certificate of origin, phytosanitary certificate, fumigation certificate and quality certificate is provided.
