Our client is a leading paper manufacturer based in Northeast China. The company requires wood chips made from Eucalyptus and Acacia.

Regarding the size, the desired product will have:

A maximum of 5% chips in excess of 40mm in length
A minimum of 85% of chips shall be between 9.5 mm and 40mm.
A maximum of 6% of chips shall be between 4.8 mm and 9.5mm
A maximum of 3% of chips shall be less than 4.8mm in length.
Chips will contain maximum 1.0% bark and rot and nil charcoal.
A minimum of 90% thickness should be in the size of 5-8mm
Besides, wood chips must be free from all forms of contamination such as rocks, soil, plastic, metal, asphalt, glass, etc. and will be suitable for the manufacture of pulp for paper production.

As our client is currently looking for reliable suppliers capable of handling consistent volumes, for a start, it will place a trial order of 1 vessel of wood chips (35000 metric tons). Once satisfied with the quality, it will increase the quantity in subsequent orders. Normally, to maintain its production capacity, the company needs a minimum of 1.5 million GMTs of eucalyptus wood chips per year, as well as acacia wood chips of a similar amount. The destination port will be the Port of Tieshan.

It will be highly appreciated if you could please share more details of your product (origin, size, species, moisture content), your pricing structure (CIF/BDMT, preferably), monthly supply capacity, the departure port, lead time, and whether any samples are available for examination upon request. Also, please note that our client prefers to pay by Irrevocable Letter of Credit (L/C).
