China Steel Economics Development Research Institute (hereinafter referred to as CSEDRI) is established in September, 1979 with approval of the State Council., directly under Former Ministry of Metallurgical Industry and State Bureau of Metallurgical Industry, and is the only development and research institute of China Steel Industry. After national administrative structure reform, with approval of Committee of Central Government Bodies Administration, CSEDRI is supervised by State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council and its fund is fully allocated by the state revenue. CSEDRI has 61 staff, among which staff with doctor degree or master degree accounts for 42% and senior engineers, senior economists and research fellow accounts for 73%. Besides, experience national level and senior experts and advisory group have been giving CSEDRI quite a lot of support on technique and operation. CSEDRI keeps good relationship with large scale steel & iron corporations
