Based in Chiang Mai, Northern Thailand this UK owned and managed manuafcturer of quality furniture uses eco-friendly materials and woods, notably mango. As of May 2007 the company is enjoying a period of growth and is developing new lined as a result. A new line-the Lanna mango collection-will be available from June 2007. There is considerable interest from around the world in the use of mango. The mango tree only bears fruit for 20 year after which it has to be cut down. In the past these trees would have been burned adding to the already heavily pollutted air of Northern Thailand. Nowadays these trees are turned into quality furniture by Lanna's highly skilled craftsmen. Anyone who cares about the environment will want to own a piece of quality furniture crafted out of mango. Other woods used include recycyled teak from old houses. We also use extensively water hyacinth to make chairs and decorative vases.
