Reliable Tool and Machine Co. Inc. was founded by Harvie Charles in Kendallville, Indiana, in 1946. Reliable began with 1, 500 sq. ft. of manufacturing area and two employees. Early 1986 saw the completion of the new division, Reliable Axle and Trailer Supply, which now gives the company three manufacturing facilities totaling 150, 000 sq. ft. with 125 employees.Reliable started as a job shop in the automotive replacement parts business. The company now markets these as well as a line of wheel hubs, brake drums, and complete axle assemblies for the agricultural, construction, industrial, and recreational industries.We are one of the largest independent machining companies in the country. Reliable offers a full range of products and services for the automotive replacement parts, garden tractor, and trailer industries.
