Diesel generators Proper glow plug and preheat logic is the required hardware and control requirement. “Electric start” alone is not sufficient if the controller does not execute temperature-based preheat, start retry logic, and fail-to-start alarms. These requirements are explicitly defined in the diesel RFQ and the acceptance protocol.
