In 2010 Experts from various background including pressure sensor, blue tooth communication and wireless communication came together to develop an insole with built in sensors to collect footprints of general public in inexpensive and effortless manner.  3L labs officially launched in May of 2014 with angel investment. Footprints provide one of a kind biometric data  that can be utilized for various applications including health care, sports activities and games.  Because footprint has a distinctive pattern each specific person and because it provides much more accurate activity tracking information,  the information can be invaluable.  Information is especially important for seniors with senior population in advanced countries exceeding 260 million as of 2014, and is expected to further increase to 280 million by 2018.   Senile footprints, when accumulated, can be used as an indicator for Alzheimer's disease, falling accidents, and Neuromusculoskeletal symptoms. It can also be used to monitor personal mood (depression) and wellness of solitary senior population. The data can also be used to check if a patient is regularly taking prescribed exercises. For this reason, our product can be a useful solution not only for the senior population itself, but also for the family members, insurance companies, the National Health Insurance Corporation, senior services, and government organization.
