Advised on a Critical Mineral Investment Commitment for TechMet
DFC invested in TechMet Limited to support the development of a critical mineral mining facility that produces nickel and cobalt suitable for lithium-ion batteries. DFC’s investment also support the development of new technology and designs for processes that advance more efficient and environmentally sensitive mining practices. TechMet is an Irish-incorporated investment platform that invests in companies that mine and process various critical minerals and other metals.

Delphos secured a tender to lead the comprehensive feasibility study for the 900 MW Vajiralongkorn Dam Pumped Storage Hydropower Plant. This strategic project is vital for achieving Thailand's ambitious carbon reduction goals. EGAT, Thailand's state-owned utility, projects a need for 5,600 MWh of storage by 2035 and 28,000 MWh by 2040. The study will evaluate hydraulic, geotechnical, and geological factors, optimizing the plant’s design for future energy storage capacity and economic efficiency.

Delphos provided technical assistance to Abt Associates, the USAID consultant for the Clean Power Asia program, on power system planning, grid codes, regulations, and cross-border power trade. The study reviewed regional power trade, power development plans, and grid codes, recommending nine cross-border projects for near-term support.

Delphos secured a $1 million USTDA grant on a sole source basis to undertake the study.
MCC - Millennium Challenge Corporation

Delphos acted as financial advisor to the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) and Africa50 (A50) for the Millennium Impact Infrastructure Accelerator (MIIA). This initiative seeks to attract investments in impactful infrastructure projects across 14 African countries, including Kenya and Zambia. Delphos sourced projects worth $250MM+ and conducted pre-feasibility studies for $100MM+ in sectors like water, health, and energy.

This helped the Pacific Power Association integrate diverse PIC situations into a unified regional BESS framework.

This Roadmap offers stakeholders a clear plan for informed decision-making, guiding all stages from planning and preparation to financing and implementation, ensuring the successful advancement of the APG initiative.

Delphos is leading a feasibility study for two power interconnectors between Indonesia and Malaysia: a 234 km HVDC subsea line with 1,400 MW capacity from Sumatra to Peninsular Malaysia, and a 140 km HVAC line with 174 MW capacity from Sabah to Kalimantan. Delphos secured a US$2MM grant from USTDA for the study and is leading a team of experts to assess technical, environmental, legal, and financial aspects of the project and developing a project implementation plan.
Delphos led a team of technical, environmental, legal, commercial, and financial experts in preparing a bankable feasibility study for VAO's pyrolysis-based plastic waste recycling plant in Thailand with a processing capacity of at least 150 MTPD of plastic waste. The Thailand facility will serve as the blueprint for VAO's rollout of advanced plastic waste recycling facilities with capacity of 1,000+ MTPD across Asia.
