The Africa Food Systems Forum annual summit convenes stakeholders in agriculture and food systems, driving collaboration and coordination.

Africa Food Systems Forum’s thematic platforms serve as comprehensive hubs for data and knowledge sharing and offer analytical and technical advisory support based on local, national and regional expertise and data systems and demand.

The financing platform is a collaborative space that serves as a hub for MSMEs, public authorities and investors to drive food system transformation.

Yara International organized the first African Green Revolution Conference in Oslo in 2006. From 2007 to 2009, it was held as an annual event focused on fostering public-private partnerships and mobilizing investments in African agriculture.

Since 2010, the annual Africa Food Systems Forum Summit has been convened on different themes and in different African regions, gathering Heads of State, ministers, business leaders, development partners, farmers, youth, women and more to work together to identify measures for action and policies for advancing the continental agenda on food system development. Throughout this period, theAfrica Food Systems Forum was consolidated as a pivotal platform for propelling the growth of Africa’s agricultural sector. .

At the end of 2022, the AGRF was rebranded as the Africa Food System Forum in alignment with our partnership's vision for comprehensive food system transformation. The Forum's focus now extends beyond the annual summit to promote discussion and action on pivotal decisions on food systems and food security year round. Our goal is to foster continuous stakeholder engagement throughout the year in measures of action and policies that are crucial for achieving our continent’s food security objectives.

The role of intra-African trade in Africa’s food systems transformation

Benoit Gnonlonfin Sanitary and Phytosanitary (SPS), Global Program Lead, CABI Intra-African trade in agricultural commodities can transform Africa into a food-secure region, especially as climate change increasingly affects markets. However, without strict food safety guidelines, cross-border trade risks distributing unsafe food. In 2005, Nigeria benefited from bumper harvests due to favorable weather and effective policies […]

Business Overview

AFRI ARGO LTD RWANDA KIGALI offers a diverse product range including tomatoes, beans, milk, eggs, and pineapples — a mix that suggests a broad agricultural supply chain covering both fresh produce and dairy. This variety can appeal to buyers looking for multiple items in one order, especially in markets where local sourcing is preferred. However, the lack of verified contact details — including work email, phone, and account email — raises concerns about the company's legitimacy and responsiveness. Without document verification, buyers cannot confirm the business's legal standing or ownership. This makes it harder to trust or engage with the supplier, especially for large or long-term orders. Buyers should request additional proof before sharing or placing orders.
