Although Black Forest Ventures was officially founded in 2009 by Dr. Dirk Laukien, our story begins back in late 1990s in The Woodlands. Dr. Laukien discovered this master-planned community while he was looking for a regional sales and service center for the Bruker Corporation, a publicly operated scientific instrumentation company which he served as an executive. Dr. Laukien started investing his wealth in The Woodlands since early 2000s and decided to fully dedicate his time on developing a diversified global investment strategy, which led to the foundation of Black Forest Ventures.

Since its inception, Black Forest Ventures created over 500 new jobs in Greater Houston alone. We continue to invest in our most valuable asset; our people and support job growth by seeding many new ideas and embellish existing ones. Our executive team worked together for many years and has decades of investing and operating experience.
