Why you will find many boats selling for less than ours: Its all about the materials used. Did you know that fiberglass cloth and Gel Coats have an expiration? Do you know what happens when these structural materials expire? THE ANSWER: The shelf life of fiberglass cloth is about 6 months to one year, after that the cloth will absorb moisture, when cloth absorbs moisture it no longer is effective in infusion of resin where the material requires much more resin to saturate the cloth. Resin is not what gives the boat strength and flexibility, it is the cloth.

Next when Gel Coat site on the shelf the UV protection deteriorate. This leads to boats looking new when first made then rapidly losing its luster and probable dull color fading or oxidizing occur making a hull that is only a few months old look 20 years old.

When these materials expire they are given sold for pennies on the dollar or given away by the material manufacturers, then used by non USCG registered boat builders that use the expired materials to make boats that are sold to unsuspecting buyers.

In addition it is the amount of material used to make the hull strength. The less material the lower the cost to build. Our hulls are famous for strength
