Different ways that I feel connected to my work are through the relationships I build with my patients. In addition, I feel like AMNS provides a supportive environment of passionate RDs that truly care for their patients and their well-being. As of now, I would not say there are any changes necessary.
Nutrition to help prevent and treat illness is only a starting point. It is also a way to connect with others (family, friends, community). My role as a Registered Dietitian is to help people understand that there are healthy and enjoyable ways to connect. Having more ways to reach into the community may help that message reach more people and therefore bring more satisfaction.
