VISION
The American School of Barcelona inspires students to lead with integrity, to be open-minded, and to make the world a better place.

ASB was proud to host the CIS University Fair, bringing together over 100 universities from around the globe.

ASB’s first Moth Event featured 15 student storytellers from middle and high school, sharing original, true stories that captivated the audience.

ASB was thrilled to host the Global Art Teachers Exchange (GATE) in October, a dynamic three-day event filled with teacher-led workshops, studio sessions, and art excursions. 

On October 16, ASB hosted its first Spanish University Fair, bringing over 15 universities to campus to connect students with local higher education options.

ASB students (and some staff) demonstrated an amazing showcase of talent at the Open Mic Night on October 10! 

Congratulations to ASB senior Andrew Jenkins on qualifying as a Semifinalist in the 2025 National Merit Scholarship Program—best of luck as he advances in the competition!

The back-to-school Ice Cream Social was a delightful success! Hundreds of students, parents, and staff gathered for an afternoon of fun, enjoying ice cream, popsicles, and popcorn under a beautiful blue sky. 

This past summer, eleven high school students took their learning beyond the classroom through the ASB internship program, working in diverse industries including media, events, marketing, social media, hospitality, and medicine. From the interview process through the hands-on experiences in professional environments in Barcelona, students gained invaluable skills that complement their academic learning and help prepare them for life after ASB.

This summer, 16 of our high school students embarked on a life-changing service-learning journey to Iquitos in the Peruvian Amazon.

Congratulations to Team Spain on yet another successful participation at the World Schools Debating Championships 2024 (WSDC) held July 16-26 in Belgrade, Serbia. This competition is the highest level of high school debate. Click on the post to read more.
