Bernhard Rothfos Intercafé AG handles trade finance and logistics for most of the NKG exporting companies around the world.
Our activities, centered around trade finance and the logistics for bringing green coffee beans from origin to the warehouse or roasting plant of the import countries, cover the full range of services coffee trading and merchandising requires.
We coordinate information, documentation, and the flows of money and goods among the different members of the coffee supply chain.
We are in constant communication with our exporters about local markets and our customers benefit from this flow of information.
BRIC is certified by the major sustainability labels such as Fairtrade International, UTZ / Rainforest Alliance, Bio Suisse, 4C, and is therefore authorized to market certified coffees of the respective labels.
We share our office space with a number of group companies and exchange specific coffee know-how with them.
Green, specialty and instant coffee for the swiss market are traded by our division InterAmerican Coffee. Other regions and/or main clients are served by our key account managers.
Our Trading unit is also dedicated to facilitate the commercialization of coffees from worldwide projects implemented by Hanns R. Neumann Stiftung.
A skilled and highly efficient traffic team provides high-quality logistics services to our clients and sister companies; with us, you count with more than 20 years of experience in trade finance, document handling and coffee forwarding from producing to consuming countries.
On average, about 5 million bags of coffee pass through our hands every year.
BRIC provides financing to the group’s export companies and farms in order to allow for a steady flow of the required coffees in the desired quality from smallholders, farmers, cooperatives, through our network of providers.
We actively promote and actively support partners in improving social conditions and protecting natural resources in producing countries via sustainability projects, special sourcing models and promoting special coffees produced under group labels.
Through our NKG quality service unit, Bernhard Rothfos Intercafé has a modern cupping facility.
With Gloria Pedroza, SCAE world cup taster champion 2006 and Swiss cup taster champion 2006 and 2007, the “NKG Quality Service unit” serves as a quality training center and provides excellent services not only within our group but also for our clients in cupping and analyzing coffee samples from around the world.
