배드캐럿은 이러한 의문점에서부터 출발한 푸드 스타트업입니다. 비건 논비건을 떠나 채소의 맛과 가능성에 더 집중하여,채소가 주인공인 간편식을 개발하고 있습니다.모두가 생각하는 고사리의 편견을 깬 고사리 오일 파스타와 고사리 누들 떡볶이처럼배드캐럿은 앞으로도 국산 농산물을 통해 재미있는 간편식 제품들을 연구하고 개발하겠습니다.
Inspired by the idea that vegetables once considered "bad" due to poor taste are actually guardians of our health, just like villains protecting Earth in the sci-fi film [Suicide Squad], our name reflects this meaning.
One day, while running Seoul’s most delicious hot dog food truck, an unexpected delivery of 5kg of fern was mistakenly brought to our shop. Rather than discarding it, we added garlic and onions and created Fern Oil Pasta. The texture and unique aroma of the fern vegetable surprised everyone, and dipping bread into the remaining sauce made it vanish instantly. Discovering that vegetables alone can create such delicious dishes inspires creators who previously only ate meat to dream of making tasty, vegetable-based recipes.
Our first prototype was not the Fern Oil Pasta Sauce but the Fern Garlic Pesto. After multiple rounds of crowdfunding and collecting consumer feedback, we pivoted the product and developed the current "Fern Oil Pasta Sauce." This project achieved a cumulative funding success rate of approximately 5000%. Additionally, we have received numerous awards, including from Seoul City and SBA Seoul Awards, expanding our fan base through various domestic activities.
