Business Description

Bender’s Fleece Farm is a small alpaca farm located about 35 minutes south west of Ann Arbor Michigan. We were founded February 14, 2009 with just 1 alpaca. Our mission at Bender’s Fleece Farm is to do our part for the alpaca industry through continuous improvement of the United States alpaca herd, by producing elite quality, conformationally sound alpacas with the finest, densest, crimpiest, and most uniformed fleece possible. We are a production stock and breed stock farm. That means that we raise and breed for uniformity of fiber in support of the future of the alpaca fiber industry here in the United States. We are working on our goal of having a large number of non-breeding males as a base for our fiber production stock. We also have breeding females as well as breeding males for sale. We offer financing to qualified buyers, and offer discounts to North American Alpaca Fiber Producers (NAAFP) members on alpaca purchases and breedings. In short, our goal here at Bender’s Fleece Farm is the production of fiber/fleece with uniformity of grade, between primary fibers and secondary fibers.

Business Overview

Avg Response Time

≤ 1h

Benders Fleece Farm offers a unique product — alpaca meat — which is a niche, high-value item with growing demand in specialty food and gourmet markets. Being based in the United States, a major producer of premium animal products, gives them access to strict quality controls and ethical farming standards. The company has been operating since 2009, showing stability and experience in the market. However, no key verification details are confirmed — including work email, phone, or business documents — which raises concerns about legitimacy and ability to fulfill large orders. Buyers should request additional proof before placing any significant orders. Without verified contact or documents, it's hard to trust the business's reliability or track record. This lack of verification is common in early-stage or new suppliers, but it increases risk for international buyers.
