Our organisation is a group of companies producing cotton yarn and machine woven carpets. The cotton yarn producing company is named BIRKO BIRLESIK KOYUNLULULAR MENSUCAT TICARET VE SANAYI A. S. Our company was founded in 1972 by the participation of the 2600 associates from the village, Koyunlu in Nigde. The facilities of our company were established on an open area of 463.000 m2. In cotton yarn company, we produce carded, combed and Openend cotton yarn. The carded yarn mill capacity is 48.096 spindles with 8 Marzoli,19 Toyota, and 26 Suessen machines and the combed yarn capacity is 46.872 spindles with 39 Marzoli and 9 Toyota and 13 Rieter type machines. The standard production range for the carded 100% cotton yarn is between Ne 8/1 and Ne 36/1 and between Ne 14/1 and Ne 40/1 for the combed 100% cotton yarn. In addition to 100% cotton yarn, we are able to produce cotton, polyamide and cotton, acrylic mixed yarns and folded yarns upon request. In our mills world approved high quality yarn is produced using the latest technology under the supervision of our qualified production staff. The company's export capacity is annually 7.500 tons. Export sales started in 1975 and today, annual export is between 25-30 million USD. The countries we do export are England, Italy, Israel, Portugal, Hungary and Bulgaria. In the carpet producing company, Wilton Type face to face machine woven carpets are produced in pure wool, pure acrylic, wool-acrylic mix and heat set polypropylene.
