Since our beginning in 1887, The Chapman House has provided the finest care in assisted living to senior ladies who qualify for residential level care. We offer a homey atmosphere with an environment of warmth, love, and safety. 

Each resident is provided a one bedroom and one bathroom suite. We try our best to work with residents to place them in a room that best fits their needs.

The Chapman House provides amenities and services that fulfill all of our residents daily needs in addition to benefits such as an on-site beauty salon, delicious dining selections, and in-house banking.

With less than 100 people in the building each resident is supported by an attentive staff and benefits from an environment that creates a sense of belonging.

Schedule a tour with our incredible staff to meet the team and take a look at our facilities. We accept ladies who are aged 65 or older. Walkers, canes, and oxygen are acceptable. Staff is trained to handle diabetes and insulin management, and assistance is given to answering questions regarding financial affordability through private pay or insurance. 

It’s like living in a grand hotel. The Chapman House is full of spirit, laughter, and through reminiscing we bring back memories of the past. Check out our activities calendar to view upcoming public events you can attend.

We continue to monitor and follow CDC COVID-19 guidelines and recommendations. Our staff wear masks at all times and we ask visitors to wear a mask in the hallways of the building.

The residents and staff of The Chapman House are excited to invite you to our second annual craft fair. This fair will be held on November 23, 2024, from 9:00 AM -2:00 PM. Vendors will be set up to sell crafts/products and there will be hot chowder and food available for purchase. Food sales will benefit our Resident Council (Something Club). You are invited to participate in a discussion on What We are Thankful For with Christine Foss of Andwell Home Health. The Chapman House will host Christine on Wednesday, November 13, 2024, from 10:00 AM -11: 00 AM in the activity room. 

 A Voluntary Covid Clinic:  Bedard Pharmacy staff will be at The Chapman House in November to administer covid booster shots to our residents that want to receive a booster. Please stay tuned. If you have any questions, please contact Jeanine Labrecque, RN at .

A Note from Bob: Happy holiday to you all. I have been the new Maintenance Director for 3 months and I am so happy to be at The Chapman House. I will be working on a few safety issues throughout the holidays. Live Christmas trees or wreaths as well as Poinsettias, in or on our building, are not allowed. These are rules from the State Fire Marshal’s office and must be followed. Please help me in keeping all our resident safe this holiday season.
