The trail produces 80% of
New Zealand’s annual wine production.

You’ll be spoilt for choice with over 230 wineries and 120+ cellar doors.

5 days minimum, or extend it out to make the most of your experience.

The Classic New Zealand Wine Trail (CNZWT) combines stunning scenery with indulgent food and wine experiences. Taking you through some of the country’s key wine regions, it is a must-do on any New Zealand itinerary.

Meet people with a passion for wine, matched by an immense knowledge of how it’s made. Along the touring route, you’ll have the opportunity to taste and shop at numerous cellar doors and enjoy a variety of adventure and cultural experiences.

As an official Great Wine Capital of the World, Hawke’s Bay boasts amazing weather, photogenic Art Deco architecture, a seaside town, and more than 70 wineries.

Just over the hill from Wellington, Wairarapa encompasses five small characterful towns with stunning landscapes, world-class wineries, and boutique shopping.

Experience a compelling mix of culture, history, nature, and cuisine. The capital city is renowned for its coffee, craft beer, and award-winning cafés and restaurants.

The region is home to 168 wineries, pairing bucket-list spots like the Marlborough Sounds with the renowned taste of Sauvignon Blanc, and award-winning seafood.

To help you find your way along the 380km trail, keep an eye out for the grape signs along the way. These will guide you through Hawke’s Bay, Wairarapa, Wellington, and across Cook Strait to Marlborough.

Business Overview

Avg Response Time

Most suppliers in international trade have at least one verified contact or document to build trust with buyers. CLASSIC NEW ZEALAND shows no verification of phone, work email, account email, or business documents — this makes it harder for buyers to confirm the company's legitimacy. Without a clear point of contact or proof of operation, it's risky to rely on them for large or long-term orders. A verified phone or email would help buyers reach someone directly and confirm availability. The lack of yearly revenue data also makes it difficult to assess their business size or stability. Buyers should treat this profile as a high-risk option unless additional proof is provided.
