The crystallization process is the system we invented in 1960 and which initially gave rise to our company. Since then, our main specialty has been the manufacturing of machines and products related to the Crystallizatio process.

This is the name the process was given as it incorporates a tought all over layer of micro-crystals which, by means of chemical reaction, and by using purpose built machinery for this use, fuses the surfaces to be treated. This also manages to increase the durability of the flooring material by 2 or 3 degrees on the Mohs scale. This makes the surface more resistant to abrasion and gives it a clear and transparent shine, giving it the appearance of crystal.

The process known as crystallization was invented and developed in the 1960's by Coor & Kleever, S. A., who now export to over more than thirty countries. The system is currently used to maintain polished stone surfaces in many of the finest resorts, shopping malls, hotels, private residences, airports and public buildings around the world. Through the use of Coor & Kleever specially formulated chemicals and purpose designed buffing machines, microns on the surface of the marble are transformed from calcium carbonate to calcium fluorosilicate. Laboratory tests have proven that the process creates a more durable finish on the surface of the marble. This makes it more resistant to wear and tear and prolongs the shine. This is the case even in areas of high foot traffic such as entrance halls. Another important feature of crystallization is that it leaves the surface non-slippery, thus allowing polished marble to be safely installed in areas where slippage would otherwise be a concern, for example in bathrooms or pool areas. Crystallization also acts as a sealer against staining and moisture penetration thereby eliminating the need for expensive sealing chemicals. Finally the system does not contain wax which can create a buildup and a yellowing of the stone.
