Caves da Montanha

Caves da Montanha operates as an agent/broker focused on red wine, which is unusual for a company based directly in Portugal — a country known more for producing and exporting wine through direct producers rather than intermediaries. Using EXW terms means buyers are responsible for picking up the goods at the seller's premises in Lisboa, which shifts logistics risk and cost to the buyer. This setup may appeal to buyers who want to source directly from a local port with minimal supplier involvement. The lack of verified phone, work email, and documents raises concerns about legitimacy and communication reliability — a key risk when dealing with brokers. Buyers should verify the broker's actual connections to wine producers or warehouses before placing orders. Being based in Lisboa, a major port, gives access to regional wine exports, but the absence of verification makes due diligence essential before any trade begins.
